Summer Institute

During the last week of July and the first week of August I went to a summer camp called Summer Institute. It's a camp where you choose what you want to do. The first two periods you do something altogether. Then you start electives. Here are my electives:Ready Set Cook, Tech World, Visual Arts, Actors Studio, Soccer, Ultimate Frisbee, Music Mix and Comic Book Wizard. Here is what they were all about.

Ready Set Cook: In Ready Set Cook you cook different foods and these are the foods that I made: English Muffin Pizza, Hummus, Guacamole, Greek Salad, Bruschetta, Strawberry Apple Sauce with Cinnamon Crisps, Quesadillas and Bean Dip.

Tech World: In Tech World we made interviews about Diversity. We had to think of five question with answers and record it on their I pads.

Visual Arts: In Visual Arts I had it both weeks so I did two things. The first thing I did was I made paper mache balloons. The second thing I did was with my group was we made a picture with different parts.

Actors Studio: In Actors Studio we made skits on how movies should have ended. My movie was The Little Mermaid.

Soccer: Basically all we do in Soccer is we play soccer till times up.

Ultimate Frisbee: In Ultimate Frisbee we throw frisbees to each other. At the end of the class we play jackpot. Jackpot works like this, two people throw frisbees and they have an amount or a bomb and who ever gets up to 1000 points wins.

Music Mix: In Music Mix we make a song with a app on their I pads. After we make it we record it and save it.

Comic Book Wizard: In Comic Book Wizard we make comics. All our comics were about a talent show.

On the second Friday the camp had a talent show. Me and M1 did a dance. I did a performance with my class with glow sticks taped on our body.

Overall this summer camp was AWESOME!!  I would want to come back next year.
